The Chinese scholarship is aimed to develop individuals with exceptional leadership, and equip them with a multicultural upbringing, a broad international perspective, and excellent complete quality for roles in global governance. The China Program’s Youth of Excellence Scheme is run by the China Scholarship Council.
Overview of scholarship
1) There will be 200 students enrolled.

4) Training methodology and length: The program lasts 12 months and, in theory, leads to a master’s degree. Under certain programs that adhere to the “1+1” paradigm, students must complete their dissertation preparations in addition to their full-time fundamental course work and research in Chinese universities during the first academic year. They have to work throughout the second academic year in their home countries and complete their dissertations based on studies and real work before coming to China as needed by the institutions to defend their theses. Requirements for applications
1) The candidate must be under 45 years old, a citizen of a nation other than the People’s Republic of China, and in good bodily and mental health.
2) The candidate must have at least three years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree or higher. Preference will be given to those with professional qualifications or relevant work experience in the proposed program.
3) A candidate must fit into one of the four groups listed below:
- A government employee holding a position as division chief or above;
- A senior manager of a company or organization;
- A university or scientific research institute administrator; Individuals possessing relevant work or internship experience in multinational corporations.
